2008 Houston Marriage Retreat

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
On behalf of the Greater Houston Church, its elders and staff we are honored to invite you to the Texas-wide Marriage Retreat. Our prayer is that this retreat will be life-changing for us all. We are confident that we will be blessed to have John and Nancy Mannel, our quest speakers, as well as all of our other teachers! Even the very best of marriages go through difficult times and trials. It is in these trials that the quality and substance of our marriages are tested. Whereever we find ourselves in this journey, we can all use some great teaching, feedback and fellowship to spur us along the way. Let’s take this opportunity to build new friendships, build bonds between our churches, renew old friendships, and to nurture the greatest gift of all, our spouses. Come relax and enjoy the atmosphere and let’s take our marriages to the next place God wants to lead us. For as long as we find ourselves here on this earth, there is only one person to whom we’ve made the commitment of "ALWAYS AND FOREVER."

General Retreat Information
The 2008 Texas-wide Marriage Retreat will be held at the Galveston Island Convention Center on the scenic beaches of Galveston Island, Texas, on the weekend of September 12-14, 2008. The weekend will begin Friday evening with a "come-and-go" optional time of fellowship and encouragement between 7:00 and 11:00pm. Saturday morning classes begin at 10:00 am and will finish up at 3:30 pm so couples can enjoy the Galveston Island experience. An optional dinner cruise for Saturday evening can be added onto your registration fee. Sunday morning continental breakfast will begin serving at 8:30 am (included in the registration fee) and communion service and classes will begin at 9:00 am.

Hotel accommodations are on your own, so you are able to select a hotel that meets your budget.
There are many hotels to choose from along the Galveston Coast, as well as hotels located more inland.
